Another Great Weekend

The Columbus Day weekend saw such nice temperatures, and calm seas. We had a blast. We spent Saturday making the trip around to Shellman to check out the Howards, who'd spent the week at Mema's coast house. We ended up just riding around and fiddling. Ran up on the Baxter's, and manged to root them out of their fishing hole. Well, it wasn't like they were catching anything anyway. LOL! Such terrible tides to fish. But, working folks must fish when they can, not when they are biting. The Baxter's (and Brad) came over to the condo Saturday night for a low country boil. YUM! Thanks, girls, for all those shrimp!

Sunday proved to be another calm day, so us and the Baxter's took the trip around St Caterine's. Yes, the whole island.
We stopped along the way to play with the jelly fish. "Touch his butt! Touch his butt! Ooh, she touched his butt!" (Finding Nemo fans)
On the way home, got to enjoy nature's majesty, as our Great American Bald Eagle graced us with a photo op. There are actually a nesting couple there, but she wasn't so friendly. What an awesome site!
The girls caught us just enough shrimp to attempt to fish. Check out Jessica's giant blow fish ~
Yeah, she was rubbing his belly trying to make him swell up. LOL! How lucky I am to have such great family and friends to share in this joy ~
