Well, it was a short week for us b/c of the holiday, but I didn't think it was ever going to end! The girls had to work last night, so figuring correctly, Wayne was at Baxter's shop when I swung that way instead of home. They worked until nearly 7 last night on the truck, and we're still hopeful of making the parade. I sent in the registration form and everything. We talked about what would happen if the truck wasn't ready, and decided maybe Sonny Dixon would still read the description and kinda do a missing man formation, leaving a space open in the parade as a tribute.
After Holly J got over the insult, I think it was kinda funny... Anyway, they're used to my smart mouth, and when we the men got stopped, the 4 of us loaded up and hit the Rusty Pig for supper. I was impressed! Their Brunswick Stew is the best I've had since my Granny was alive! And the sauce was just the kind I like. Like we'd heard, it's a little pricey, but if you factor in you don't have to drive to Claxton, it works out. I liked it better than Harry's anyway, and it's about an even-Steven for Bruce's in Reidsville, but like I said, it's only 3 blocks from the house...
Wayne's ridden over to Mema's on the 4-wheeler to check how the yard sale is faring this am. Jessica & I are getting ready to head to Savannah for dress rehearsal, then meeting Wayne & Megan at Contentment for the inaugural boat ride of the year. YEAH! Going to Daddy's to work on the little boat, and maybe some more beaching. Thought I might could talk the Howard's into coming along... haven't done anything with them in what seems like months. But, Stacy was riding Hogs w/Dennis today after some pictures at Aunt Joy's, so they passed. Maybe next time.
