Ready for the Weekend!

Wayne's dr's appt on Wed came out well. His bp is still a little high & Dr. Cobb changed his meds up a little, but his little facial surgery is healing well & was nothing to worry about. So, alls well w/my Superman. Me and the girls finlally got appts in late April, just to establish ourselves as patients, so if/when we need a dr, we have one. For some reason my OB/GYN nor endocrinologist wanted to see me for a sinus infection... go figure!

Washing and packing last night, getting ready for the weekend... Megan went to Statesboro w/Corey & family to get his tux, etc, for the prom. Jessica went to Melissa's to "bake". She was SO excited when she came home... Melissa had given her the movie "Twilight". The girls aren't as obsessed as, say, Holly J or Kaitlyn, but they LOVE the "Twilight" books and movie. Then me & Jess baked us a ham to take with us to Sapelo.

As usual, plans have changed up a bit. Pat says the wind is to be horendous again this weekend, giving us 6-8 foot seas all weekend. It's really not a problem for the Grady, but sure makes for a stressful trip for the captain and crew. So, we called it a wash, and will just ride the ferry and spend the weekend w/Da & Syb. The Blessing is more about the boat ride than the actual festival anyway, and if I'm not getting the boat ride, I'd much rather spend the time w/my Daddy. Don't get to see him nearly enough.

Pretty sure the Howards have bailed on the trip, too. Stacy and Dennis are going to pick up Stacy's new motor cycle this afternoon, so I'm sure the two of them, and Coolie of course, will be "Wild Hogs" this weekend. Ha ha! They'll have fun, I'm sure.

The girls have gone into Savannah today on a field trip to the Savannah Music Festival on River Street. They are supposed to be watching lots of jazz band performances and getting some ideas for the jazz portion of their spring concert here in a few weeks. They took cameras, cell phones & MP3 players, so I'm not sure just how much they'll get out of it, other than a day out of school. But, they deserve it. They've been graduation testing all week ~
