Making it

Had a good evening. The girls went to eat Mexican w/some friends before going up to the BOB for some Christian teen fellowship, so I took the opportunity to pick up some groceries before heading home. We were out of practically everything! Since supper was a quick corn dog for me & Wayne, we had time for some quiet relaxing in the swing enjoying the warm evening while waiting on the girls to get home. It sure was nice, but we both said we'd be glad when we get to move to the coast where we don't have the noises of town to contend with nature.

Speaking of nature... when Wayne got home on Tues, there was a LARGE raccoon walking around our swing. He said he was twice the size of Pepe' (our not so mini Min-Pin). Well, as Wayne walked toward him, he climbed in the cedar tree and sat there hissing at him. He didn't act like he was terribly scared of humans, so Wayne became concerned that maybe he was sick or had rabies or something, so he didn't want him around the girls and our pets. But, being one of God's creatures, who really wasn't hurting anything, he didn't want to just kill him. Now, he had just gotten out of his patrol car & was still in his uniform, so he pepper sprayed him! He said the coon didn't like it any, but it would wear off in a couple of hours, and would hopefully deter him from further human contact. My question was, would Wayne have to fill out an incident report for discharging a weapon? Couldn't you just see Ricky (his Lt.) reading that one! I told him he should do it just for laughs...

Wayne & Ricky are heading to Madison today for meetings, supplies, etc. I've got ribs marinating for supper and Stacy & Dalton are coming to eat w/us since Monica will be out of pocket for the evening. I'm looking forward to that. Seems we don't get to see them much now days. So, I'll rap this up for now & get to work, so I can go home... Later ~
