It was a VERY pleasant hour ride over, with vertually NO hesitations. A really easy trip. Once we got there, we weren't real sure which place was the restaurant, as nothing is marked as such from the water. But, Wayne guessed correctly, and up we went. Parking is nice, as it is at a marina, with a roughly 100 yards or so of dock up to the restaurant. Here is where things headed south. The place is decorated really cool, but that's all that was. You see, no one, nor no where could I find on the website, or the lady who I spoke on the phone with on Thursday had mentioned that the place is nothing but a succession of open porches. You read that right. Open porches. No windows, walls or screens even. Not sure how they keep the seagulls out... So, you have this picture? With no windows or walls, no A/C! Yeah. A restaurant in south GA with no A/C. Who would've believed it? Even on the water, you have sand gnats and sea gulls. But, we perservered and ordered anyway. The strawberry margarita was one of the best I've ever had. Could drink another RIGHT NOW. But, we all ordered shrimp baskets with fries, and hoped for the best. Now, the tartar sauce was wonderful. But, the shrimp had NO batter, like they were just seasoned and fried, and were terribly overcooked.
Now, I know it was 1:30 on Saturday afternoon, not peak dinner hour, and we were one of about 3 tables of customers in the place. But, good grief, it was just fried shrimp. On the way out Wayne hit the bathroom, and discovered, low and behold, that is the only room in the place with A/C. Not even the kitchen. So, will we try them again? Wayne says, "H&(( NO!". Holly and I decided it may be a nice place in, say October. Unless of course the sand gnats are out.

Sorry it was such a bad experience. I haven't been there in a while but their crabcakes were always delicious!!! The restaurant before it at the marina was AWESOME but closed several years ago!!!
