We got down and unloaded, and Wayne put the girls digging the last drainage ditch, while he and I proceeded to build the cabinet for the sink. Took most of the day, and a trip to Hinesville Lowe's for an $.86 PVC elbow. But, plumbing is finished. Sink drain kinda looks like Ray Charles did it, but couldn't be helped. Actual drain through the concrete was put in a weird place.
Anyway, took our first showers, and spent our first night in the coast shop Saturday night!! WOO- HOO! Still don't have bathroom walls, so no bashful folks here. LOL! You'd be working along and look up and someone would be on the toilet... Interesting, to say the least. But, hopefully. That'll be fixed this weekend, and WE'RE IN!
I was worried about whether the A/C was actually gonna keep such an open space cool enough for ME to be comfortable, but ya'll know how hot it was this weekend, and it had to come from behind on Saturday to cool it off, but Wayne and the girls actually had to hunt blankets during the night. YEAH! When we woke up, Wayne said, "Aw, look... the girls are spooning!" LOL!
We haven't managed to get the mattresses for their bunk beds yet, so they were stuck on the blow up mattress, which suited Pepe' just fine... it was his height!
Cooked our first meal, breakfast Sunday, in the Gould's shop. Yeah, that's another thing. We're not sure what to call the place. It's not a house. It's not a trailer. It's a shop we just happen to stay in. I don't know, we'll work on that, I guess. Any-whoo ~ David and Holly came over to see the progress and map a plan for the day. And, as they were leaving, Wayne decided he had to pee one last time, but that he'd lock the door in case Holly decided she needed to come back to tell us one more thing. Well. The door is like the one on the shop at home. Even when it's locked, the insided knob turns. So, as we're loading the golf cart with beach going materials, Wayne noticed Pepe', who is too old for beach trips anymore, so I got back off to put him back inside. Guess what? Yep. Door still locked, keys inside. Wayne offered to let me and the girls go on to St Catherine's, but we haven't been but a couple of times from Gould's, and I'm just not comfortable yet making that run. So, Pepe' and I came back to Glennville, got the spare key, and headed back. Wayne pulled back up just as I was, and I did get about 3 hours of fun in the sun. It was WONDERFUL! And, guess who now has a spare key hidden outside? Yeppers! That won't happen again ~ LOL! But, we had to come back to reality today, but only a 4 day week (thanks Uncle Sonny, for yet another furlough day on Friday). Come on Thursday afternoon ~~~~

Looks like y'all had a great time! Glad you were able to spend the first night there...maybe one of these days we will run into y'all at St. Catherine's since we now have our boat up and runnin' :)
