Happy Father's Day!

Sorry I'm a little late with that... But, what a wonderful weekend! Uncle Sonny granted me another furlough day on Friday, so Thursday night the girls, Pepe' and I pulled out to Gould's. Took a while to unload that poor car, but we settled in nicely, and got up Friday morning and put the little boat in and piddled. We took on the pretense of fishing. However, our bait was just a little too "ripe", so all we ended up catching was stingray and toad fish. Oh, and Jessica pulled in a sinker on the anchor.

The dolphin were "he'in and she'in" all over the river, too, making it a little hard to focus on fishing. They are so VERY beautiful! We hardly ever get near Barbour River that we don't see some. Guess we know why now. It's their breeding ground ~ LOL!

Abount lunchtime we tired of the heat and no fish, and headed over to the pool at Belvedere (Thanks, Baxter's) for a little reprieve. WONDERFUL! Wayne came down middle of the afternoon, and after a SMALL rest, we jumped on the building the bathroom wall. It didn't seem nearly as difficult as the kitchen area for some reason. Less plumbing, I guess. So, before supper... we had walls!

Wayne decided he'd rather get it done, so he could enjoy 2 full days of fun and sun ~ And, low and behold, Saturday morning the troops piled in. LOL! Tyler was first on the scene. He's an early riser, farmer and all. Corey had some difficulty finding us, even though he's been down with us multiple times. He's a bit directionally challenged, you could say. Boy got lost in Glennville trying to find our house, for Heaven's sake. Anyway, he ended up at the McDonald's at South Newport, so I guided him back in, poor thing. Maybe he should trade the "Green Lantern" in on a homing beacon. LOL!

The Howard's were next on scene, and all 9 of us pulled out to St Catherine's for the day, and what a day it was! Beautiful weather, beautiful, calm seas, and a boat load of friends (well, and boys, but, whatever ~ LOL!)

Corey stayed the night, but headed out early to get home for his Dad. And my sweet hubby took his father's day to take me to see mine. I believe the parable you're searching for is " Brier Rabbit in the Briar Patch"? But, we'll let him have that one... Da was there waiting for us, and we had a great, be it ever so brief, visit. I miss him SO much!  But, had to get back and get cleaned up for another week at the grind... Here's another few pix of the Sunday trip ~

Oh, yeah! Megan drove to Da's, and Jessica drove home. So, here's a VERY rare shot of Wayne actually enjoying a boat ride, not driving... 'Course, Pepe' is always the center of attention ~
