A Busy, But Great Weekend

Another weekend comes to a close ~ Friday was another furlough day for me, so I piddled around the house until Wayne and the girls got home, then we tore out to Houston County to check into our hotel. Jessica had to be up there early Saturday morning for try-outs for the All-State Honor Band. She is only the second student in TCHS history to make second round auditions, and it sure would be great if she made the band. What an honor for her Senior year! Not sure when we'll find out the results, but I'll be sure to post when we do...

Let me just tell you ~ it was freaking COLD in Warner Robins! According to the local news up there, the tempurature Saturday morning was 21, factoring in wind chill... wait for it... felt like 7 degrees. And we felt it! I sure am glad Emily agreed to Pepe' sit. Our room was kind of in the middle of the hotel, on the second floor. Can you see me dressing and going out 2-3 times at temperatures in the teens during the night to ride the elevator down to take that little turd out to pee? OOF! Thanks, again, Aunt Pooh!

We dropped Megan in Cobbtown to spend Saturday afternoon with Corey and Company. Got home and called up the Howards and formulated an evening plan.... We headed over to Statesboro and ate at the Millhouse. Now, this was all of our first experience, and it was wonderful! We'll definately go back.

Pepe' had a rough night last night. When we came in from Statesboro he had had a couple of really messy accidents (thankfully in the dining room, not on the carpet). He went out 5 times in the night, and still ended up messing up the bathroom rugs early this morning. All day he's acted like he really felt horrible, and is a little dehydrated. I hope he'll be feeling better soon... the dog-gone diabetic nut case! So, needless to say, today has been a pretty lazy day for me. I did try a new recipe Meschelle told me about for lunch (Foskey's Sausage Shells). It was super simple, and the family really like it, so I can see that one happening again. After lunch, Jessica went to Paul's to ride 4-wheelers. Yeah, I know. She looked like an eskimo, and it didn't take her long to return home. Megan and I had piled up in my bed and were watching the newest Harry Potter, so she finished it with us. Can't for the final two movies, and the theme park opening at Universal. I really like those movies.

Wayne grilled us some homemade burgers for supper, so that was quick and easy and we're all chillaxing for the evening preparing for another week. So, I think I'll catch up on my blogs and wrap up with another movie. Maybe Angels and Demons this time...
