This is a very long story I have to tell it like your daddy--for effect!!! Saturday, after I called him and told him about the reverse being fixed on Sapelo Sally, and my dear sweet brother-in-law made me cuss!! I went to make some shrimp deliveries in Hog Hammock. I don't know if ya'll have ever expierienced Sapelo hospitality the way I have. I walked out the door without a drink in my hand and perfectly happy to be sober!!! With no intention to drink anything!It wasn't my one time every 2 years SIBBY I GOT U some FISH!! Well ,after a few deliveries and being called an unsociable a--, and you must be mad with us! Several times, I returned back home ZOMBIED--When you lay down and have to put a foot down to stop the room from spinning!! DRUNK,DRUNK!!!! By that time your daddy and ma pulled up. I told him that Daniel with UGA wanted him to bring his guitar to play at the UGA party. He grabbed the Gary Baxter guitar with no hesitation. Got there and there was a young man named Skylar, Skylar had a Martin guitar too!! I figured that pa and him would just look at the pretty guitars all-night. I was wrong. The drunker those two got the more they played. It took them about 10 minutes between drinks and cigerettes to tune the 2 guitars. Both of the guitars sounded good. After years of not even picking up a guitar your daddy did not miss 1 note!!!! I have never seen him play anything but a bass guitar in a gospel band till NOW! He doesn't miss a lick!!
Around christmas we are having another oyster roast at the house and Skylar and pa will be playing again YOU DON:T WANT TO MISS SEEING THAT!!! New Sapelo saying (YOU MIGHT WALK ON TO THE ISLAND BUT YOU WILL CRAWL OFF!!
