My group took off to Vidalia. We hit the several hot spots, finally bought that pair of fake sperry's I've been coveting. Why don't we do for ourselves the way we do for our children? Anyway, picked up a few odds and ends & this and that. At Big Lots, I found a funnel cake kit. Now, I've seen these before and thought about it, but this one was only $6. So, home it came. My girls LOVE funnel cakes, and Papa does, too. Jessica put in for funnel cake for supper. How nutritious, but hey, you only live once, so funnel cake it was ~ YUM!
The girls spent the day at Splash in the 'Boro with Corey and his brother, Casey. They had a great day, sounds like, and everyone is exhausted. Wayne's at the gym, so as soon as he gets in, eats his "supper" and I get the kitchen cleaned up, I'm thinking I'll crash early for some tv time. The girls and I have to roll out in the am for doctor's appointments in Savannah, so I guess that's it for now ~

I must say (as someone who has fed her family Krispy Kreme for supper) that there is absolutely nothing wrong with a funnel cake. You did fry it in vegetable oil right? Common sense tells me that vegetable oil is just what happens when you squeeze all the good stuff out of vegetables...the funnel cake dough just absorbs all that goodness...why I think I might like one too! :-)
ReplyDeleteTell Aunt Shelma I said "Hey". Love your blog. Your girls are so pretty.
