Well, Jessica & I made out last trip to Savannah for the Armstrong Atlantic Youth Orchestra finale concert last night. It was just as good the second time around, too. It was just me and Jess, as Megan had to work. Wayne stayed home w/her. And everyone else had already seen the concert last week. I am so very proud of her accomplishments with this group. It is truly amazing to see how fast these kids pick up this amazing music & learn, learn, learn. Every week, they just got better & better. Last nights concert was a fundraiser for the Savannah Friends of Music, so tickets were $20/ea. But, the lady at the ticket table said over the last 5 years since this org has been in existence, they've given the Youth Orchestra just over $1 million in support for equipment, scholarships, private lessons, instrument repairs, etc. It's a wonderful thing to see, since this area doesn't even have an orchestra anymore. But, a lot of these folks involved in this thing are leftover musicians that were with the Savannah Symphony back in the day. Anyway, looking forward to both girls auditioning and making the cut next year!
As I said, Megan went to work last night. When I got home, she said she'd been ill at work. After some questioning, it was discovered she hadn't eaten since a slice of pizza for breakfast ( I know, don't start). Well, it's not unusual for them not to eat at school, but they do usually eat a full meal when they get home from school before going to work. It all stems from an incident on Wed night at the Rec Dept where this mean little black girl decided to announce repeatedly to anyone who would listen, that the way to tell the twins apart was that Megan was fat. You can imagine how the sensitive one took this. She got her feelings hurt. Now we have to watch her double time to make sure she eats. Geez! We went through this a little w/Jessica w/the 1st boyfriend (she wouldn't eat in front of him) and am not excited about Megan's issues now. I could just ring that girls neck!

OMG! Give me some names and we can have Jones do a take down! Both of those girls (I know not to say twins now! HEE HEE) are gorgeous! AND I MEAN GORGEOUS!!! I remember HS though; it was awful (and I was pencil thin -- A WHOLE 95 LBS. and I thought I was fat). I don't know why some girls have to be such bs!!!
