Geez!

What started out as a good Tuesday (Monica took me to lunch @ Village for my b-day, and got some new Reefs), turned to mush in the pm... Typical Tues, Jessica had rehearsal at Armstong. I couldn't leave work until 4:30, which put us hurrying. Megan decided she'd go so maybe she could get her watch fixed. So, at 5:10 we finally get out the door. Now, mind you, on the way out I asked, "Megan, you have your watch? Jessica, you have your trumpet & music?" Answers to both, were a resounding "yes, ma'am". So, off we go.

We're into some heavier than usual traffic, pass 4 accidents along the way, but pull into Armstrong w/10 minutes to spare. Jessica goes to hop out and asks Megan to hand her her stuff. Megan says, "where is it?". And the fun begins... Jessica blames Megan for taking her stuff in the house. Megan blames Jessica for being on the cell phone instead of getting her stuff out of the car, etc. You know. Well, the Mama lost it. I haven't been that angry in a very long time. So, then as we're pulling back out of Armstrong (no need to stay, nothing to play and nothing to play it on), Jessica asks, "can we still go to Portman's so I can get some valve oil". The child just didn't know when to quit.

Poor Megan was commenting on the pretty birds, nice cars, cute dudes, anything to lighten the air of doom in the car... Needless to say, I finally cooled off, we got the valve oil, saw about Megan's watch, picked up a new wallet for LeTanja and supper at Chick-fil-a and was home by 8. Then had to have a nice, long conversation in prayer about my reaction and attitude. Lord, help and forgive me!

But, she doesn't have to go to rehearsal next week, so I guess that kind of makes it a wash for gas wasted. And I did get 2 hours alone with my girls. Well, and their cell phones/text messages. I think they'd actually faint w/out the texts. Corey's text wasn't working, and the boy actually called Megan to say his text wasn't working and he'd have to call her later tonight instead of texting... I just don't know about this generation of techno-heads.

Today is going to be better, I know it. Smooth sailing on the way to work, saw Coolie on the way. Always good for a smile... computers are down at work (1st day of mth and all), so we're just visiting and yapping. The girls will go to the BOB tonight, so no pressure for supper or anything else. Looking forward to a quiet day, into a quiet evening.

On a lighter note, even yet... I didn't get to go to Wanda's retirement party on Friday, but thought ya'll would enjoy this pic of my cousin Gina's loosely packed husband, David. Someone had given Wanda a pack of depends, so David thought he'd model them for everyone. Through the entire bar/restaurant. Yes, he'd had a few, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case with David...
