Another wonderful weekend comes to an end

Whew! They're just too short... Yesterday, Wayne went with Jim-Bob, Stacy & Yeah-Yeah to Statesboro to take Jim-Bob's boat to the shop. Jessica had gone with her friend, Christine to Colonel's Island for their St Patrick's Day parade, so Megan & I followed the guys over to the Boro. Had to hit Wal-mart 1st for the new microwave, then diddled through the Goodwill and came up with a bad full of bargains. Then we wandered through Petco, before grabbing Krystal & heading home. We were wiped! Pretty sad what little it takes anymore... Corey got off at 7 and came by to see Meg for a few minutes before we ran him off so we could turn in early.

Got up this morning, which didn't show much promise. It was so dreary, I was sure a ride wasn't gonna happen today. But, low and behold, about lunch, the clouds cleared, the sun came out & it warmed up nicely. We called the rest of the ORR, who showed up in force, well just short Coolie really. Jessica was still at Christine's baking cupcakes. I asked Megan to text her and let her know we were going 4-wheeler riding, just in came she came home & we weren't there. She said if we'd wait 2 mins, she'd be home. Megan told her we were pulling out right then, then hung up on her! Mad? You darn right she was. She didn't think about last weekend when we went w/out Megan. She's still a little huffy right now ~

The rivers too high, so everyone loaded up and came to town. We rode what we call the perimeter road that edges Ft Stewart, then cut across 301 to circle the Naval Air Station, before coming back up Harmony Church Rd, to Dry Fork, then back across 301 by the prison and back home. It's a big circle, kinda, that's nearly 30 miles. It was a wonderful ride. The weather held, there were a couple of small mud holes along the way, and we stopped for several breaks and caught up with each other. I miss the crowd and getting to ride every weekend. It's probably been since about Sept since we all rode together. We're looking forward to more to come soon, I hope. If this nice weather will hold.

Well, Wayne's off to Atlanta most of this week, so the girls & I will be on our own. No telling what we'll get into... TTFN!
